Introduced in 1952 on the Les Paul until 1955, GoldTop is one of Gibson’s quintessential classic finishes and a favourite of many collectors, along with the sunburst of the ’59.
It has a brighter and less intense appearance than the « Aged » and refers to the last years when Gibson used these golden tones as its main colour.
